The Pensacola Little Theatre (PLT) opens Foo Foo Festival with a light-hearted return to the ’80s with a production of “The Wedding Singer.”
For many of us, the ’80s served as one never-ending bad hair day — the teased bangs, the flouncy skirts, the (ugh) “layered” look — and the creative directors of the PLT has captured it all to a “neon T.”
This feel-good performance will tug at the heartstrings of any demographic and serve as a nostalgic look back at the ’80s for the 4th Annual Foo Foo Festival.
Directed by Billy Buff and Tina Buran. Based on the 1998 film of the same name, the story revolves around Robbie, who sings at weddings, his failed relationship with his former fiancee’, and his romance with a new love, Julia. Full of ‘80’s pop and all your wedding favorites.
ESTIMATED RUNNING TIME: 2 hours and 30 minutes, including a 15-minute intermission.
