Telling: Pensacola | Pensacola Museum of Art Performance

Event Info

The Pensacola Museum of Art presents “Telling: Pensacola” as a part of our upcoming exhibition, “100 Faces of War” on loan from the Smithsonian Museum. The second performance will be held at the Pensacola Museum of Art on Veteran’s Day, November 11th from 11 am – 1 pm. This special performance will be held within the exhibition space among 100 portraits of veterans. Admission is free to the public and seating is first-come, first-serve.

Telling: Pensacola is part of the national Telling Project, founded in 2008 to help bridge the communication gap with an American society in which less than 1 percent of the population has served in the military over the past dozen years of war.

To help deepen community understanding of their experiences, veterans and family members talk about how and why they served, the injuries and challenges they’ve had to overcome, and how they are transitioning back into civilian life.
