Back on the Blocks Festival

Event Info

In the 1800s, “The Blocks” was known as the Black business, entertainment and cultural district in the city of Pensacola—or the “Harlem of the South.” Today, it holds claim to being the center of artistic and cultural renaissance as an economic resurgence. Join us for a 2-day festival filled with culture, music, fun, family and food!

About Roots, Rhythm and Movement

This studio performance invites spectators to experience the story of African-American culture through dance, music, prose and art, and then culminates in an extended open dance.
