New Orleans band tuba skinny co-headliner for Jazz for Justice 2021

Jazz for Justice is Ready for Foo Foo in the Fall!

Date Posted: Sep 29, 2021

Each year Legal Services of North Florida (LSNF) brings live music and high-energy jazz to downtown Pensacola with its annual Jazz for Justice event. Jazz for Justice will be one of the final events to round out Foo Foo Festival 2021. On Sunday, November 14 at Seville Quarter, this year’s lineup is full of some of the biggest names in the New Orleans Brass Band scene.

“Jazz for Justice showcases Pensacola and the spirit of Jazz music that is the heartbeat of what we do. Legal Services of North Florida is proud and grateful for the Foo Foo Fest partnership, which allows LSNF to highlight this commitment to ensure hope and justice for all in our community,” says Leslie Powell-Boudreaux, Legal Services’ Executive Director.

This lineup brings back many of our favorites along with new to Jazz for Justice artists like Pensacola local band Entropy Machine, Ft. Walton artist Nik Flagstar, Blues crooner, and Mississippi native Ed Adams, and Alabama’s trumpet sensation Pat Whitehead.

Jazz for Justice is also excited to announce New Breed Brass Band and Tuba Skinny as 2021’s knockout co-headliners! New Breed Brass Band takes the energy and pizzazz of the second-line brass band tradition to all-new heights. Not only were they named “Best Emerging Artist” by OffBeat Magazine, but they also played Newport Folk Fest and backed Common at the Essence Festival. This is a show you do not want to miss this November!

Finally, we have the energetic buzz of Tuba Skinny who has been growing their musical talent for well over a decade in New Orleans. The group combines traditional New Orleans jazz, with remnants of ragtime and Depression-era blues.

While this event is completely free to the public, opportunities are available for those who want to guarantee a seat upfront or get VIP treatment in designated areas. VIP tickets are limited and include premium seating, food, and a VIP happy hour. LSNF is proud to be in the ranks of the amazing events taking place during Foo Foo Fest and will close it out with a bang. To learn more about all upcoming events, go to: www.FooFooFest.com.
