The second annual event kicks-off the Foo Foo Fest Saturday, November 2 with crowd-engaging performances of music, art, and dancing.

On Saturday, November 2, 2019, StompFest 2019 will officially kick off the first weekend of Foo Foo Fest 2019 at the Pensacola Bay Center.  The mission of StompFest is to immerse the Gulf Coast in contemporary African-American art, dancing, and stepping blended with a mix of spoken word, live music, and visual artistry while showcasing the influence this rich culture has on Black Greek-letter Organizations (BGLO).  Multi-Grammy nominated musician Marsha Ambrosius will headline the event along with rapper/DJ Mannie Fresh and event host Haha Davis.

Attendees can expect to see step and dance performances from nationally recognized step teams, a live performance from Marsha Ambrosius and Mannie Fresh, live sounds and crowd participatory chants from a collegiate marching band, live visual art demonstrations with a critically acclaimed visual artist, along with cultural fun facts and BGLO learning moments from start to finish.

“StompFest is not a traditional step show – it’s an innovative cultural exhibition from the foundational aspects of fraternity and sorority life,” says Bryan Freeman, founder, StompFest. “This is the largest event of its kind along the Gulf Coast and we’re excited to welcome national celebrity guests along with amazing Black Greek-letter Organizations to Pensacola this year.”

StompFest is excited to celebrate its second year as part of The Foo Foo Festival.  The highly-anticipated arts and culture festival, one of the largest in the Southeast, is produced by the nonprofit organization, Art, Culture, and Entertainment, Inc. (ACE) and spans an impressive 12 days.  Pensacola, Florida is highly regarded in the arts and culture community and is quickly becoming the cultural capital across the Southeast.

In addition to the plethora of arts and cultural happenings during Foo Foo Fest, StompFest guests can also enjoy “StompFest Shoppe” events November 1-2, 2019 showcasing art, apparel, jewelry, and craft vendors. StompFest will also host a special family-friendly evening event on November 1, 2019.
