Frank Brown International Songwriters’ Festival: An Array of Special Events

Date Posted: Oct 26, 2015

PENSACOLA, Fla., October 26, 2015 – As a night watchman, Mr. Frank Brown worked at the Flora-Bama Lounge and Package (one of the Top-50 Beach Bars in the world as ranked by CNN) for 28 years, from 1956-1984. He retired at age 91, but many claim that his gentle spirit still lives on within the walls of the Flora-Bama and in the hearts of all who knew him.

A featured event at Foo Foo Fest, the Frank Brown International Songwriters’ Festival (FBISF) is an 11-day tribute to Brown’s impact on the Flora-Bama and the Central Gulf Coast community. The FBISF has been named a “Top 20 Event” in the Southeast and features live musical artists playing classic and current hits across a variety of genres. Festival-goers will have the chance to hear the stories behind songs and experience spontaneous jam sessions with the songwriters. The 31st Annual Frank Brown International Songwriters’ Festival is most definitely an event you don’t want to miss!
