Lee House: An Experience of Local Charm & History

Date Posted: Sep 10, 2015

PENSACOLA, Fla., September 10, 2015 – Lee House has been at the center of downtown Pensacola since 1866 and is still providing visitors and locals with a taste of history and local charm.

After a devastating fire in 2001 and Hurricane Ivan in 2004, the original Lee House was damaged beyond repair. Four local Pensacola businessmen purchased the land in 2007 and built the new hotel in the style of the old historical values of the community. The owners, Tosh Belsinger and the Merrill brothers: Collier, Burney, and Will, are all active members of the Pensacola community working to preserve its unique culture.

At this charming boutique hotel, guests will find items from early settlers that were recovered during an excavation of the property during construction. Their charming wide Southern porches overlooking Pensacola Bay and Seville Square will make you thirst for a nice cold glass of iced tea.
