Foo Foo Fest is taking over November

Date Posted: Nov 05, 2014

What is the best part of fall? Is it the weather, the food or the events? Everyone has their preference and traditions, but this year Pensacola, Fla. has redefined why fall is your new favorite time of year. For 12-days, Pensacola has combined all the best arts, culture and entertainment events the city has to offer into their first-ever Foo Foo Festival!

According to AL.com reporter Brian Specker, “The Foo Foo Fest concept is an attempt to put a single umbrella concept over a smorgasbord of wildly different activities including popular music, fine arts, food and fitness.” The goal of the festival is not take over any of the anchor events like the Blue Angels Homecoming Show or the Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival, but to make them apart of something much bigger.

A big question many are having is do you need tickets or a festival pass? According to Specker, “There’s no fence around Foo Foo, and no way to buy a single pass to everything. Some events are free; others have their own ticket information. What Foo Foo Fest backers do offer is a website that serves as a clearinghouse for information on the various events, and a sense of exploration.”

With more than 30 events highlighting the areas best entertainment, arts and culture there is no reason not to be in Pensacola, Fla. Nov.6-17. To read the full article on AL.com, click here.
