In the 1800s, “The Blocks” was known as the Black business, entertainment and cultural district in the city of Pensacola—or the “Harlem of the South.” Today, it holds claim to being the center of artistic and cultural renaissance as an economic resurgence. Join us for a 2-day festival filled with culture, music, fun, family and food!
About the Block Party
Boogie on down with us at our one-day block party event! Enjoy a mix of Motown, jazz, gospel, R&B, rock, and pop music during this outdoor event.
We are partying to celebrate community, camaraderie, and culture. The melodious, Motown sounds of Real Love Entertainment will be the 2016 featured artist and mainstage event.
This year’s party will also celebrate the 70’s and conclude with a “That’s So Seventies” Costume Contest, equipped with a full-on Soul Train line.
The first, second and third place winners receive a cash prize. To enter, email us at contest@TruthForYouth.org.
